mjunction has won the Order-of-Merit SKOCH Award for its “Integrated e-procurement Solution”. mjunction was conferred the award at the 50th SKOCH Summit on December 20, 2017, at New Delhi. The stringent evaluation process included a presentation to the jury and popular votes.
mjunction wins the 4th CSR Impact Award
mjunction won the 4th CSR Impact Award at the India CSR summit and Exhibition 2017, in the category of CSR Foundation of the Year 2016-17. The activities showcased were the School Integration Program (SIP), English Lab and Employability Linked Program (ELP).

mjunction has been awarded the prestigious Nasscom East IT Awards 2017 in the Enterprise category, which is the top category at Nasscom East IT Awards, 2017. The Indian Institute of Materials Management, has adjudged Mr Viresh Oberoi, Founder CEO and former Managing Director of mjunction services ltd, as the "The Chief Executive of the Year".

mjunction (for our ejunction initiative) was adjudged as the National Winner in the Employee Volunteering Program of the Year in the Corporate category at the Apeejay India Volunteer Awards 2011 (AIVA) held in New Delhi in September, 2011.

In August 2009, mjunction was adjudged among the top 25 innovative companies in India by the Tata Group. A case study to this effect was published on mjunction by the Tata group in association with Tata Management Training Centre, Pune in a book titled 'INNOVATION and INNOVATIVENESS ~ The Tata Experience'.
Recognition for Enterprise Procurement System (EPS)
SAIL Rourkela Steel Plant was awarded a Gold Medal for commendable adoption of Enterprise Procurement System (EPS), designed, hosted and implemented by mjunction. The award conferred by the Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India at the 11th National Conference on eGovernance is instituted to reward Public Sector Units (PSU's) for implementing exemplary information and communication technology (ICT) processes. EPS is an innovative and revolutionary application developed by the in-house technology team of mjunction which adds substantial value to the procurement process of PSUs as it eliminates wastage and saves time.

Bhartiya Shiromoni Puraskar - Institute of Economic Studies
The Institute of Economic Studies, New Delhi conferred the 'Bhartiya Shiromoni Puraskar' to Mr. Viresh Oberoi, former Managing Director of mjunction and a "Gold Medal" to mjunction in recognition of enhancing the image of the Country in 2006.

Mr Vinaya Varma is Chief Executive Officer of mjunction services limited, and has been a core member of the founding team. At mjunction, he has been instrumental in conceptualisation, launch and ramp-up of some of its largest businesses.
He is a B. Tech from IIT Kanpur and has completed his Advanced Management Program from IIM Calcutta. Prior to joining mjunction, Vinaya was at Tata Steel, where he had worked in several functional areas encompassing Production, Planning, Sales and Marketing. He was also part of several big transformational projects at Tata Steel such as Business Process Reengineering, SAP R/3 and launch of Tata Steel's e-commerce portal.
Vinaya is a passionate believer in the power of e-commerce, technology and innovation in building effective, efficient and transparent supply chains to power B2B e-commerce. He takes special interest in driving ejunction, the CSR initiative of mjunction, which provides computer literacy to a large number of persons belonging to the disadvantaged sections of the society which helps them in finding suitable job opportunities.
In the year 2012, he was nominated for Tata Strategic Leadership Management Workshop (Harvard Business School), which is designed for select senior executives of Tata group and its subsidiary companies. He is a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from Institute for Supply Management (ISM), USA. He is a practitioner of Theory of Constraints and has attended several sessions of ToC at Goldratt House, Tel Aviv.
In 2016, Vinaya won the “Special Recognition Award” in the services category in “The Bengal Entrepreneurship Recognition” conferred by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Vinaya has been elected Co-Chairman of the CII Eastern Region ICTE Sub-Committee for 2018-19. He is also an elected member of CII Eastern Regional Council and CII West Bengal State Council for 2018-19 and an elected Member of NASSCOM's Internet, Mobile & e-Commerce Council for 2017-19.
Beyond work, Vinaya likes to play with his dog and spends Sunday mornings tending to his collection of orchids, adeniums and bougainvillea on his terrace garden.

Ajay Kumar Tiwari is the Company Secretary of mjunction.
Ajay joined mjunction in October 2015 and has more than 10 years of experience in Secretarial function. He also has experience in Legal & Compliance and Taxation. Prior to mjunction, Ajay served as Company Secretary in Corporates, where he worked closely with the Finance team handling direct and indirect taxation.
Ajay is a Commerce Graduate from St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta University. He is an Associate member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and also an Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Beyond work, Ajay is passionate about social work and he also engages in professional networking.
Ajay lives in Kolkata.

Amit Khan

Amit Khan is the Chief Information Officer at mjunction, and is responsible for directing and managing computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programmes and schedules for business and finance data processing, computer services, network communications and management of information services.
In mjunction, Amit has been instrumental in implementation of eProcurement projects for large PSUs like BHEL, SAIL, Coal India, Power Grid Corporation and the Ordnance Factory Board. He has also been responsible for building mjunction’s data centre and Disaster Recovery facilities.
In his career spanning 22 years, Amit has worked for leading IT companies and brings with him rich experience in managing large high impact IT projects.
Amit is an Electronics Engineer from Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur.
Beyond work, Amit loves to travel. He also engages in professional networking and has special interest in education and learning.
Amit lives in Kolkata with his wife Gita and daughter Ishana.

Pankaj Mittal

Mr. Pankaj Mittal is Vice President at mjunction services. He manages the e-selling and e-procurement platforms for multiple industry verticals, viz Metals, Coal, Agri Commodities, Idle Assets, e-Finance and Tea.
He is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and XLRI, with more than 33 years of inclusive experience across the Metals industry value chain, Business Consulting, and B2B e-commerce. His metals industry experience includes stints at Tata Steel and the Jindal group. During his tenure at TCS and SAP, he was engaged in Consulting with the manufacturing industry, on business process and technology interventions for Operational excellence and Customer centricity.
He serves on the Board of A.Treds Ltd, a JV of Axis Bank and mjunction, which operates the online platform invoicemart.com for Trade receivables discounting. He is also a member of the NASSCOM Eastern Region Council.
Beyond work he is an avid follower of world economy, financial markets, cinema and cricket. Pankaj lives with his wife in Kolkata.

Shivani Chaturvedi

Shivani Chaturvedi is Chief People Officer at mjunction, and is a highly people, process and result-oriented HR professional. With close to 20 years of experience in designing and executing people practices in global and matrix environments, she is skilled in HR strategy, service delivery and HR technology implementation. Her experience spans the Big 4 Consulting firms as well as several public and private sector Fortune 500 companies across the USA and India.
She has contributed to the growth of her employers and clients, by charting and rolling out talent strategy programmes underpinned by SAP and best-in-class point solutions in the areas of people and change management, organisation & leadership development and global workforce planning.
Shivani is passionate about Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) and has designed, developed and implemented key initiatives in the verticals of Gender, Persons with Disability, LGBT, Generational, Cultural & Ethnic diversity.
Shivani holds a P.G Diploma in HR from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Pune and is a member of the People Management Committee of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI). She is also a trained and practising member of the Internal Complaints Committee. As a SAP HR consultant, she was part of the panel that developed the SAP HR (Talent Management) certification question paper for SAP A.G.
Shivani lives in Kolkata with her mother and when not at work, you can find her enjoying poetry, a walk in the mountains, painting or wrapped in a book.

Dipankar Mukherjee

Dipankar Mukherjee is the Chief of Marketing and Sales at mjunction. He is responsible for devising and execution of the Corporate Marketing and Sales strategy and achieving the sales revenue target for business units. His responsibilities also include Account Management and delivering growth in new business opportunities for domestic as well as global markets.
Dipankar joined mjunction in November 2016 and has more than 20 years of experience in the Information Technology Industry handling leadership positions in Marketing, Sales and Programme Management mostly around large transformational IT Projects and also consulting customers in their journey of organisational change and business transformation. He brings in experience of working across multiple Industry verticals like Banking & Finance, Insurance, Travel & Logistics, Defence, Manufacturing, Retail and Energy for clients in Public and Private Sector extensively in the Indian and Global markets.
Dipankar did his Management from Bombay University in Marketing and Sales. He is an avid wildlife enthusiast and is part of a few NGO initiatives. His other interests are sports and travelling.
He lives in Kolkata with his wife Sonali and daughters Anushree and Disha.

Arun Kumar Rath
Chairman
Mr. Arun Kumar Rath is the Chief Executive Officer of Durgapur Steel Plant [DSP], one of the integrated Steel Plants of Steel Authority of India Ltd [SAIL], a Maharatna Company. DSP is the largest industrial enterprise of West Bengal and the only indigenous supplier of forged wheels to Indian Railways.
Under the stewardship of Mr. Rath, DSP has completed the execution of its’ Modernisation plan. The Plant is now witnessing all-time best production and techno-economic parameters. Under his leadership, DSP has also undertaken developmental jobs of Narrow Gauge wheels and LHB wheels for the Indian Railways.
Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Rath was Executive Director [Projects] of IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur, another unit of SAIL. Mr. Rath was instrumental in the entire gamut of activities of many critical units viz. Basic Oxygen Furnace, Continuous Casting Plant, Lime and Dolomite Calcination Plant and Rolling Mills complex under the 2.5 Million Tons Expansion Project of IISCO Steel Plant.
A distinguished alumnus of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, in Electrical Engineering, Mr. Rath started his career in Rourkela Steel Plant [RSP] in 1982. During his career in RSP, Mr. Rath proved his mettle in repair and maintenance of large electrical machines. He also developed a network-based online system for effective repair and maintenance of electrical equipment in RSP. Mr. Rath was selected by SAIL as a team member of its in-house Consultancy wing SAILCON for developing skills in the maintenance activities of Hot Strip Mill at a steel company in Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Rath is a strong believer in cultural and HR interventions and was actively involved in several HR initiatives of SAIL. He is also a motivational speaker and connects easily with young and innovative minds. His innovative, inclusive and proactive approaches have yielded rich dividends during his stint in different Plants of SAIL. He loves composing poems and takes keen interest in Nature photography.

Dipak Kumar Banerjee
Director
Mr. Dipak Banerjee is a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Dipak Kumar Banerjee served as a Commercial Officer of Africa and Middle East Group of Unilever, London from 1993 to 1997. Mr. Banerjee started his career with Life Insurance Corporation in 1970 and thereafter, in 1975, joined Hindustan Lever. His tenure with Lever included a two year secondment to Lever Brother, Nigeria. Since 1992, he served as the Commercial Director of Unilever Plantations Group. He served as Chairman of Unilever Uganda Ltd. until July 2000. Mr. Dipak Banerjee is Independent Director on a number of reputed companies.

Kalyan Maity
Director
A Graduate in Mining Engineering, Mr. Maity (1980 batch) from NIT, Raipur (erstwhile Govt. College of Engg. & Tech., Raipur) initially joined WCL (at Pench & Kanhan Valley coalfield ) in May, 1980 and subsequently switched over to SAIL, Durgapur Steel Plant, in December, 1980. After completing the exhaustive training (class room as well as hands-on at Shop floor) in integrated Steel Plant operations at Durgapur, he was posted at Bolani Ores Mines of Raw Material Divison, SAIL. He served at Bolani Ores Mines for about 19 years in various capacities, after that he moved to SAIL’s Meghatuburu Iron Ore Mine and then to Kiriburu Iron Ore Mine. With his consistent and outstanding performance he became the General Manager (Mines) of Kiriburu Iron ore Mine in 2007. Later he was elevated to the post of Executive Director, RMD in 2011 and posted at headquarters, Kolkata.
Sri Kalyan Maity was Director (Raw Material & Logistics) of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), A Maharatna Public Undertaking from 01.03.2013 to 28.02.2018. After completion of 5 years tenure, he joined back as Executive Director (SA) in SAIL w.e.f. 01.03.2018.
A strong believer in hard work, Mr. Maity has made remarkable contributions in steering RMD to a new direction to ensure Iron Ore Security for SAIL despite formidable challenges. He took special initiative to start development of Tasra coking coal project to increase the captive washed coking coal production to around 3 MPTA. Similarly, special initiative was taken by him to add additional ports through long term contracts in East coast keeping in view the economics of railing as well as availability of wagons to ensure uninterrupted supply of enhanced imported coking coal and limestone to SAIL plants. During his tenure several significant steps have been taken in Mines Division for capacity augmentation and modernisation of mines as well as CSR.
Major Iron Ore Mine projects finalised/ordered/commissioned during his tenure to increase iron ore production to meet the enhanced requirement of 38 MTPA post expansion.
In Coal Import Division, new suppliers have been established for both hard and soft coking coal and PCC from US, Canada, Columbia, Mozambique and Indonesia to reduce SAIL’s dependence on Australia. Further it gave better price negotiation power to SAIL and protected the SAIL plants from supply problem due to major weather related dislocation in Australia.
Besides his consistent effort in production improvement, Mr. Maity focused on improving the motivational level of employees who have been working in the remote and undulated terrain of mines. He earnestly worked for changing the quality of life of the people living in the neighbouring villages of RMD mines by implementing a number of projects under CSR for Health care, Education, Infrastructure development, Self-employment, Sports & Culture. SAIL’s Eklavya Archery Academy in Kiriburu was established during his tenure.
Mr Maity has attended various training programmes within the Country and abroad. Notably, he has been to Australia twice, once to participate in training on Mines Operation, and later, to attend the programme on Project Pre-feasibility Study on Chiria Deposit. He has also attended an Advanced Management Course in Cambridge, UK.
Married to Ms Anasuya Maity, he is blessed with two daughters, Priyanka and Honey both of whom are Doctors. Elder daughter Dr. Priyanka Maity, MD (Pathology) is married. Son-in-law Dr. Subhamitra Choudhury is Neurosurgeon. Younger daughter, Dr. Honey Maity is pursuing MD (Medicine) in Kolkata.

Chanakya Chaudhary
Director
Mr. Chanakya Chaudhary joined Tata Steel in 1988 as Graduate Engineer Trainee in the Raw Material Division at Jharia, Dhanbad. During his stint in the Collieries division, he worked in various capacities in the Fluidised Bed Power Plant, Training Institute, Underground mine, Jamadoba Coal Washery etc. Subsequently he was transferred to Total Quality Management (TQM) (Business Excellence Group), wherein he was responsible for working with various divisions of Tata Steel for getting ISO-9000 certification, employee involvement in small group activities and preparation of annual quality improvement plans. He is a Certified Auditor for ISO 9000. and has been working as a lead assessor for Tata Group in its journey of Business Excellence and for JRD Quality Value Award. He was heading the Corporate Affairs office of Tata Steel at New Delhi as Chief Resident Executive and since 1st November 2013 he has been appointed as Group Director-Corporate Communication & Regulatory Affairs. In the new assignment he is now responsible for Corporate Communication and Policy Advocacy across the Tata Steel group.
Mr. Chaudhary, a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Mechanical. from BITS, Pilani, has undergone various prestigious management programmes like Young Managers Programme at INSEAD, France in 1997, Tata Group Executive Leadership Programme in 2007 conducted by Michigan Ross School of Business & Executive MBA from CEDEP, France in 2008-09.

Mr. Sandipan Chakravortty is the Chairman of TM International Logistics Ltd., (TMILL), a very reputed Tata Company in international logistics and engaged in logistics business worldwide.
Mr Chakravortty was the Chairman of Jamshedpur Utilities and Services Co. Ltd (JUSCO), a Tata Enterprise and a leading company in town maintenance, power distribution, water management, construction, etc. He is also the past Managing Director of TATA STEEL PROCESSING AND DISTRIBUTION LIMITED (formerly Tata Ryerson Limited) – which is one of the largest steel processors and distributors in Asia and by far the undisputed leader in India.
Mr. Chakravortty holds a B.Tech (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where he received Merit Scholarship throughout his studies. He is also a M.Tech in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the same Institute. He also carries a Post Graduate Certificate (MIS) from Case Western Reserve University, U.S.A. , and has undergone a Six Module Senior Management Course in CEDEP (Insead) from Fontainebleu, France.
Mr Chakravortty joined Tata Steel in 1975 as their Materials Controller. He then moved on to marketing and became All India Marketing Manager of Sales. He then was given the responsibility of Ferro Alloys and Minerals Division of the Company, including port activities and other logistics. Record revenue and profits were earned during his tenure. He was again brought back to Tata Steel as Director of Sales, where record profits were achieved. Mr Chakravortty joined Tata Steel Processing And Distribution as Managing Director in 2001, made it grow to the largest organization of its type in Asia and retired in 2014.
Mr Chakravortty is an active member of CII National Council and holds the position of Chairman – CII North East States Council. He was the Past Chairman of CII Eastern Region and President of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr Chakravortty has held several prestigious positions earlier like Member of the Board of Governors, IIT Kharagpur, Member of the Board of Trustees – Kolkata Port Trust, President of International Chromium Association (Paris), President Coal Consumers’ Association of India, etc.

Khambampati Subrahmanya Sarma

Mr.K S Sarma has a distinguished academic career with two post graduate degrees, in Arts & Science and an M.Phil from Manchester University, UK. He worked in the education sector teaching Economics and Statistics for a period of 10 years before joining the Indian Administrative Service. During his career he worked in various levels such as Joint Secretary, Special Secretary and Principal Secretary with Government of Andhra Pradesh before going on deputation to the Government of India. He has also worked in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and held additional duties for the Post of Director General, Doordarshan. He has functioned as Chief Executive Officer, Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) and was instrumental in launching free-to-air Direct-to-Home service (Popularly known as DD Direct +) for the benefit of Indian viewers. He had also been unanimously elected as Vice President of Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU). Currently he is also Director in Goldstone Technologies Limited.

Biswajit Chongdar
Director
Mr Biswajit Chongdar is currently ED (Marketing -Long Products) of Steel Authority of India Limited. He has an experience spanning more than 34 years in SAIL. Mr Chongdar is a Civil Engineer from Calcutta University (erstwhile Shibpur BE College). He is an ardent reader, always on a lookout to update him on the latest developments and supplement his knowledge.

Rajiv Mukerji
Director
Mr Rajiv Mukerji joined Tata Steel 1986 in the Marketing Division. Thereafter he worked in various divisions of the company including International Trade and Shipping and Logistics and chaired the International Trade and Logistics sub committees in the Confederation of Indian Industry. In 2007, he was appointed Managing Director of Tata NYK Shipping in Singapore before moving into his current role in Nov 2013 as Group Director Strategic Procurement, looking after Tata Steel Group Procurement in Raw Materials, Shipping, IT and Industrial Gas.
He has done B.A. (Hons.) and diploma in management from IIM Ahmedabad and INSEAD France
